Crystal Springs Uplands junior Kaiya Brooks finished fifth in the Division 5 girls final at the California state meet at Woodward Park in Fresno. Brooks covered the 5-kilometer layout in 18:36.4 to lead her team to an 11th-place finish with 286 points. Brooks placed fourth as a freshman at the 2019 state meet.
